Words Alone Cannot Tell

This last school year, my class and I read the book Messiah for worship.  The statement on the poster came from next to the last chapter of the book.  It made a real impact on me.  I finally had the time to go and get a picture to go with the statement.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer.

Stumped?

What a week this has been.  The first three days were cool and pleasant, but the last four were HOT.  We went from a high on Tuesday of 68 to 91, 100, 110 & 105 the next four days and on Sunday back to 72.  Not too bad if you have AC, which no one has.  I thought I would never be so glad to see the fog.

I saw this stump up at PUC last weekend.  It made me stop and think.  That stump has most likely brought more enjoyment in its present condition then it ever did as a tree.  To often we see things as getting in our way of what we think God wants us to do, when really God has another plan for our lives that is much better!

The Cap and Gown…

June is a time to celebrate graduations.  We went to the PUC graduation for Leo’s.  I can’t deny that we are very proud of him for taking his last class and graduating!  As always, there were some great speakers.  This concept was alluded to on Friday night.  I thought about it over the weekend and this is the result.
It is awesome that Christ “earned” the right for us to wear the robe and crown.  All we have to do is accept it.

Seeds of Faith

School is over!  Another year is done.  Where does the time go.  I was doing CUM folders today and saw my school pictures for the last 20 years.  I looked so young when I started.   But you know, I would not want to go back and do it over just to look that young again!
This poster made me think about that.  Sometimes we think it would be so nice to have no problems.  But then how would we grow.  It is hard, but I am learning to rejoice even in the hard times because I know that God is “growing my faith.”  Hope you have a great week.

Reflection

The yearbook is done and handed out!  That is a big relief.  Today I take the 6th grade to Santa Barbara on the train.  Then I have two half days and two full days of school left for the year.  I am ready for the end.
This poster is just a reminder that we need to slow down sometimes.  God speaks to us in the stillness.  He also shows himself to us in nature, even something as small as one drop of water.
Have a wonderful week.
