We All Belong

I took this picture at Monterey Bay Aquarium.  They had a beautiful display of jellies.  They have now been replaced with seahorses.  Just as great, but much more difficult to photograph.  There is less light and the seahorses move more.  So I keep trying and I may get lucky!

This poster I created for myself as a reminder that we are all valuable the way we are.  It is so easy to see what others are doing and wish we could do what they do instead of focusing on the opportunities that God has placed before us.  I see this so often with my students, they want to “help me teach” others instead of doing what they need to do. I have no problem recognizing the downfalls of this and trying to correct them. Yet when it comes to me, I am all too ready to criticize myself for not having the abilities of those around me instead of using the talents that God has given me.

So next time I want to go down that path, I should remember the jellies and focus on the things that God has given me today.
