Initiative

This really hit home with me.  It is much too easy to not stick my neck out.  So my challenge for each of us is to not take the easy way out.  Let us make a difference in our world.  Don’t let the odds get you down, with God on our side we can do it.  All we really need to do is let God use us to change our little corner of our world.
May God bless you in the week to come.

A Clay Pot…

It seems like we are always in the middle of some trial.  I somehow had the idea, when I was growing up, that adults never had problems.  They had everything under control.  Boy was I wrong.  But I’m learning that the trials are what make us stronger.  I came across this statement and it made a lot of sense.  I’m learning to pray for grace under fire and not to escape the trials.  Much easier said than done.

May God bless you in the week to come.

Words…

Yes it is another Monday morning.  I hope these posters brighten up your Mondays just a bit.  Some have asked it these are my photographs, the answer is yes.   Usually, though, the words are ones that I have come across that say what I want to say much better than I can.  If you would like to see more of what I have done you can google Little Jeane and will end up in Flickr.  There I have about 4000 pictures and about 150 of my posters.

Now to the poster of the week.  We have always said that actions speak louder than words, but I was surprised to see this same idea in a proverb from Tibet.  It made me think about how I live my life.  It is so easy to say things and promise things, but do we always follow up with the action.  Or worse yet, do we say one thing but go out and act in the opposite manner.  Working with kids has really made me aware of how much each of us do this.

My prayer this week is that my deeds will lead others closer to Christ.

Promises

The posters I made this week are actually a pair of them.  They contrast our promises and God’s promises.  Thank goodness that God’s promises are never broken.  Have a wonderful week!

Bridges

Isn’t it wonderful to know that we have a God who loves and cares for us enough to help us choose right, but even when we make the wrong choice He does not turn His back on us.  My prayer for all of you this week is that you will  “cross the right bridges.”
