I realize I am just a bit late, but I wanted to use one of my pictures I would take at the Memorial Day service today. So there it is. But I really had to include the other poster. Memorial Day honors those who have given their lives that we can be free. When you stop to think about that and what it truly means, you realize that the Great Controversy is the the war for our souls that we may have the freedom of choice. Christ is the ultimate “veteran.” He gave up everything that we may have His perfect peace. No other, not matter heroic they have been, have been able to give us that. So on this Memorial Day I want to take a moment to honor and worship our Lord.

In God’s Hand
A special “Hi” to all the mothers who read this. May you have a wonderful day!
The poster I have today is very special. Friday was the Sports Day at the school. The last event of the day was the Obstacle Course. One little girl had a very rough start. When she was ready to give up, her mother stepped in and ran the race with her. Not just beside her, but doing everything her daughter needed to do. The last obstacle was the dreaded slip-n-slide. The little girl, now crying, did not want to do it, so her mother “paid the price” and got very wet. The little girl had the dry clothes to change into, not the mother. What will people remember of that event? A mother that paid the price with a smile. They will not focus on the little girl who wanted to give up.
It was like watching a “Sports Day” version of the plan of salvation. A special thanks goes to mother who portrayed the Love of God to all who were present. May we all be inspired to show others the Love of God in our lives.
