Hope this is off to a good start for the week.  I know I have been very busy today trying to make sense out of my house.  It feels good to begin to get things straightened out.  But I need a poster like this sometimes.  We get so busy being productive, that we forget to take time to “play.”  If you ever have doubts about God enjoying play, just take a look at the platypus.  I think it was created just to keep us guessing.

This will be an interesting week for me.  Last week I was at the seminar about the new Reading Program.  So tomorrow, since it is the first day of the new semester, I’m going to start putting some of the ideas in place.  Just a bit scary to try something new halfway through the school year.  They have asked me to be a Lead Teacher for the program in our conference next year, so I figured I’d better get moving on it now.  Please keep me in your prayers.  Thank you.

Have a “playful” week!!!

This has been a crazy week.  I was gone to a seminar on Monday and Tuesday.  Have been trying to catch ever since.  Some weeks I just a relief to finish!  We did finish up the floor in our bedroom.  That is very nice.  My poster is more for me than anything.  I needed those whiskers!!

Hope you all had wonderful Christmas and New Years.  I’m back to putting in new flooring again.  We are half way done in our bedroom.  So things are pretty disorganized around here.  I guess things get worse before they get better.
Over New Years we were in Monterey for the annual Spiritual Renaissance Retreat.  They had invited an expert on C.S. Lewis to give several presentations.  They were very good!  Also went over to the Aquarium.  Took several (300+) pictures.  Trashed most of them, but was pretty happy with some of them.  You will most likely see some of them show up on posters.
In looking over some of the material on C.S. Lewis, I came across this quote.  It made a great fit for the photo of a park in Norway.  I’m so glad this in one rumor we can count on to be true!

A very Happy New Year to all of you. I have no great words of wisdom,just what the poster has to say. That might not be too easy to do, but with God it is possible!

This statement made me stop and think.  It is so easy to get
too busy with Christmas that we forget about the reason for the season.

This weekend we took a couple hours off and headed for Morro Bay.  The waves were amazing.  For those who know Morro Bay.  These waves are crashing over the breakwater.  I was a couple of waves the spurted at least 200 feet into the air.  I took about 200 pictures.   It was something else to see!
The quote came out of The Message.  For all you musicians I have to put the whole Psalm 98 here.

Happy Thanksgiving!

For the last couple of days we have been down in Long Beach at a teacher convention.  Was able to glean a few new ideas, find a few deals with the exhibits, and see a bunch of our “old” friends.  Had a great time, but I was ready to come home.  I think I’ve gotten pretty spoiled living away from the big city!

I thought this poster was very appropriate.  It is so easy to focus on everything that is going wrong.  But we really are very blessed.  God, who can breath out stars and universes, cares enough about us to have come and lived here.  We may seem like nothing, but in God’s eyes we are very precious! That is something we can be VERY THANKFUL for!!

I thought about this on Sabbath and Sunday, but not on Monday!  Things are really starting to get busy as we head into Christmas.  I think we have four free evenings between now and Dec. 22.

I think it is so great that even in death, leaves can be so pretty.  I think God designed them to be so beautiful just for our enjoyment.  We have an awesome God?
